Rock Island Armory TAC Ultra FS - 10mm
Very happy
This is my first 1911, and I've only shot 35 rounds through it so far. The trigger is very crisp, almost like a mouse click compared to the XDs, Taurus PT111, and Glocks I've shot. The slide has failed to lock back on me 6 of the 7 times I ran a mag dry. Since it only came with one magazine, I'll continue investigating that, but I've read these guns need a significant break in period anyway. I shot Sellier & Bellot 180 grain which was very pleasant to shoot out of the heavy gun. I imagine a faster or heavier load will increase the recoil, but since I reload, I can control all that. I love the look of the gun, best looking gun in my safe. The sights look nice too, hitting 8 inch plates at 25 yards is no problem right out of the box. Can't wait to get more ammo to continue shooting!
