Incoming transfers

You’re having a firearm shipped to us.

  1. Check your eligibility. Review the Virginia State Police eligibility requirements. We can only transfer to Virginia residents.
    Active-duty military with a permanent duty station in Virginia may also transfer. Bring your military ID, your home-state driver’s license or ID, and orders placing you in Virginia that haven’t passed their rotation date. If your orders have expired but you’re still in Virginia, also bring a letter of extension on command letterhead.
  2. Check the sender. We only accept firearms from established FFL businesses — not personal or “table-top” FFLs, individual C&R holders, or vendors that drop-ship. Not sure? Give us a call.
  3. Submit the transfer form before it ships. Use the online form above (preferred) or the fillable PDF. Firearms that arrive without one are delayed and charged an extra $25.
  4. We handle the dealer. We verify licenses with the sending FFL, they ship, and we process it within 1–3 business days of arrival. We’ll contact you when it’s ready.
  5. Pick up. Bring the correct ID — we can’t release the firearm without it (call us if you’re unsure what you need). Pay the fee, pass the background check, and it’s yours.

Cost: $35 per firearm, plus a background check fee of $2 (resident) / $5 (non-resident, long guns only). Non-Silencer Shop NFA items are $50 due to additional processing.

Outgoing transfers

You’re shipping a firearm out through us.

  1. Confirm it’s legal. Make sure the recipient can legally possess the firearm and that it’s legal where it’s going — check with local authorities there.
  2. Check the receiver. We only ship to established FFL businesses (same restrictions as above).
  3. Bring it to our store with the receiving FFL’s information. We’ll fill out the transfer form with you and measure the firearm for shipping.
  4. We ship it once we’ve verified licenses with the receiving FFL.

Cost: $35 plus shipping (calculated in store).
