The PA-120 ammunition box is typically used to store and move 40mm cartridges such as he M430 HEDP or M385/385A1 practice cartridge, as well as other types of ammunition and artillery fuses. When the 40mm cartridges are linked into belts with M16A2 links, the PA-120 ammo can will hold 32 rounds. When packed in bulk, up to 50 rounds can be delivered in a PA-120 box for use with, for example, the M203 grenade launcher.
