The KimPro Tac-Mag is the ultimate 1911 .45 ACP magazine, and not just for Kimbers. They work with almost any brand of mil-spec 1911. Seven-round version is available for shorter frames like the Kimber Ultra Carry and compact models. KimPro Tac-Mags feature an exclusive quick change floor plate that allows the immediate attachment of any one of three included bases - stainless steel, slim bumper pad for carry or thick bumper pad for competition or use with extended magazine wells. Built for exceptional performance, they have all stainless steel construction and a Teflon coated stainless steel follower. Rocket Wire springs give 25% greater endurance limits than conventional springs, and large numbered round recognition holes read at a glance. A KimPro Tac-Mag makes any 1911 better.

The KimPro Tac-Mags are high quality, and nice looking magazines. Unlike the factory Kimber magazines, these KimPro Tac-Mags are drop free magazines, which make empty-gun reloads that much quicker. However, shooting with non-drop free vs. drop free magazines is truly a matter of personal preference. As a retired Homicide detective with 25+ years as a LEO, I believe that having a magazine drop freely from the gun when being ejected is definitely an advantage. I have nothing negative to say about these KimPro Tac-Mags - they have clean lines, provide seamless round feeding, and seat very cleanly in the magazine well.

Solved my issues 01/17/2016

I recently got a Kimber for concealed carry and needed an extra couple magazines. Additionally, the older style or standard style officers length 7 round magazine wouldn't feed hollow point ammo without down loading by one round. The Kimber TacMag came well recommended and these are the 7 round magazines for nearly half the cost of a many other after market magazines. These magazines feed hollow point ammo into the short 3" barrel at full capacity so I'm satisfied and comfortable using them for concealed carry.

Kimber Tac-Mag 7RD Mag 01/14/2016

Ordered 2 of these for my 1911 Springfield RO 45 Compact.
Very smooth and easy loading except for that last round.. But that's to be expected for a compact 7RD flush fit.
Took them to the range the other day using two mags that came with the gun and one of the Kimber mags. I probably loaded up the Kimber 4 times and on one of the 4 times the slide did not lock open after the last round.
To early to tell anything yet, but so far I like them and will use one for carry.

While I never carry a Kimber Firearm I do love their Magazines and have always had reliable service from them. I currently have a rough number of about 20 or so in mostly the 8 round model but just got the 7 rounders because of a compact 1911. Found Armory to have the best price for them(Even more so if you're bulk ordering) and I received them very quickly. I will be Ordering again

I have a few 1911's and these mags work very well in all of them, and it's nice to have the option to put bumper pads on if you want. The Armory has the best price on these mags. Do yourself a favor and buy a few and get the discount, i have made several purchases from The Armory and i have never disappointed in there service or merchandise.
