Nail driller (5/5) | Jul 12, 2007 | Anonymous
I've shot many different handguns but the ultra carry 2 is my favorite! It is deadly accurate up to 15 yards and conceals very well.

More Than Adequate (5/5) | Jul 23, 2007 | A. Nonymous V | Wa US |
I do not have a problem with how the weapon shoots. Grouping at the effective range is very good. I don't believe we carry a compact to use at 50 yards? It is accurate enough to hit what you're aiming at at that distance, but most confrontations take place within 21 feet (7 yards or less). I switched to Chip McCormick match grade magazines. The magazine follower has to be modified or the last round will feed like a Poseidon missle. Carrys well, shoots well, performs as designed.

matt (5/5) | Jul 3, 2008 | matt davis | florence al US |
i bought this gun thinking that it would only be a carry gun and would not be accurate at more than 7 yards.BOY was i wrong!!! I shot a 5in group at 75feet!!!! the first time i shot it.i have a glock with a matchgrade barrel and it has a 4inch barrel, lets just say that i dont shoot anywhere near what i shoot with this kimber.yes it does jam and it locks back when the last round is in the chamber and wont fully close but after it is broke in you wont have that problem.i rate this 5 stars because of how accurate this gun is.

marcus miller (3/5) | Jan 23, 2009 | Anonymous | St. Cloud MN US |
See my ealier Sept 08 post. I am just shy of 700 rounds. (Been a cold winter in MN and haven't gotten to the range as much.) I have only had one additional jam since the last post while a friend was firing. Believe that was likely to do to limp wristing. Otherwise no problems. Have introduced various JHP rounds ranging from 185g to 230g without issue. Haven't found good data on balistics/ terminal performance out of 3' inch barell, so still searching for a JHP carry load to test in bulk. Recommendations welcome. No + P ammo fired. All standard pressure. Bought two additional Kimber factory mags. Both have worked fine, although others recommend Wilson mags. Have not yet changed springs and plan to keep shooting until it becomes a noticeable issue. Want to find the outer range of reliability on that and then will post the results. Until then, will continue to carry my snubbies. Still extremely pleased with this pistol. Out here. |

Love it (5/5) | Nov 3, 2008 | Jerry Cool | Sartell MN US |
As an ex-cop and former Marine, I have a quite a bit of shooting experience. I took my Colt Series 70 .45 with a 5 inch barrel and my Kimber Ultra Carry II Stainless to the range. I have had no malfunctions with my Kimber during the break in period but at 25 feet my Kimber had a baseball size group which was better than I could due with my trusty old Colt.

kimber ultra carry 2 (5/5) | Apr 18, 2011 | Stacey Dellapenna | Brandon Mi US |
Right out of the box,This pistol started Cranking them out shooting golden sabers, not even one jam occured.I had a little field stripping problem, due to tight tolerances, but got passed all that.this is my third Kimber, such a fine piece of machinery, with all this feedback im hearing,I sure hope i never run into these problems, and ive only put 250 rounds into my breakin period.I love my Kimber ultra carry 2.Good luck to those who have their problems, lets hope customer service gets better from what ive been reading/hearing .

Great gun (5/5) | Dec 30, 2008 | Anonymous
This is the first Kimber I have owned. I could not believe how great this gun is. I shot 100 rounds through the gun today. I can't believe the accuracy of a gun this short. I was also impressed with how little the gun kicks. This was quite surprising. Great trigger as well.

Great compact 1911 (5/5) | Sep 20, 2013 | Lt4545 | Albuquerque Ne US |
This is one great 1911 for someone looking for a pistol of this type! I looked mine over and found thr fit and finish consistently excellent. Then time to load up and shoot it. Now here I was very pleasantly surprised 2 mags full of magtech 230gr. Hardball was extremely smooth right thru it with no ftes or ftfs Plus the two best surprises of all. The excellent trigger! It's very smooth ,no creep no grittiness at all , and felt just about perfect a @4.5lbs. Then the second and most noticeable plus going for this pistol. I found that it was surprisingly very easy to control and handle for a 1911this small and light .at least for me I thought felt recoil was quite easy to my hand or hardball.i plan on replacing the kimber mnfg. Magazines with the correct Wilson combat 47 ds.i find its easy to carry at 25 ozs empty. I love this little 45. Being my first kimber I am so happy with this ultra carry that I've ordered and rec'd a full size custom11 and fit it ith Wilson combat mags as well. I feel that for an affordable 1911 of great quality, made in America kimber is the gold standard! No I don't work for kimber! Or did I get any special price. I had to wait months to find a store with one in stock forveach purchase plus I paid the going retail price both times.albeit the lowest I could find either locally or on the web. I recommend kimbers to friends and family with confidence.just found some reasonably priced range ammo and can't wait to get my new 1911(kimber) to the range!
