i am looking into buying a hi point 45.does anyone know anything about this brand. i have never heard about it but it carries a real good price tag. i will be using it for home defense for some fun on the range. so on a pretty rare basis. if any one has any experince with this type of gun i would greatly appreciate any comments.

They're heavy, boxy and feel cheap. But, if you're only after function and price, they're hard to beat. Down side is that extra mags tend to be hard to find. We sold quite a few High-Point carbines and they turned out to be surprisingly good plinking guns.

Thank you for the reply. i tried the gun and really enjoyed shooting the .45 at the range. i used the ghost ring site and it was dead on. i will only be using it around the house and have found a store that carries the mags. after shooting one a few times i will be getting one. thank you again
