Smooth and Accurate12/25/2018 ByEdward N Flail I bought a used Stainless II with supposedly only 5 rounds shot through it from the dealer who sold it to the original purchaser. Bought my son a Sig .45 at the same time. We shoot together and try each other's guns. We both like both. I prefer the Kimber because it is smoother, has a nice feel and is very accurate. My son likes it, too. It has a number of match grade components, which adds to the value. It was also half the price of the Sig, which makes it a bargain, although the Sig came with night sights and two magazines. This is my first 1911. I have no issues with the format and can adapt easily between it and my other pistols which are not 1911s. Recoil is less forceful than I expected and less than the Sig. After putting a few hundred rounds through it, I love my Kimber and would highly recommend one to any shooter, male or female.
