Bought my Gold Combat II in 2004 and at this point have put thousands of rounds through it, and it is to date the most reliable, best made, out of the box 1911 I have owned. That includes Colt's and Springfield's. It is also the most accurate. The workmanship is first rate. The Kimpro finish is attractive and very durable. The tolerances are tight without compromising reliable function. No jamming issues have occurred as long as it is well lubricated, Down sides... It isn't cheap. It can be a little finicky with some brands of hollow point ammunition, The Kimber magazine rates only a fair.
