17 HMR 17gr V-MAX Hornady Ammo Box (50 rds)

This bulk .17 HMR ammo, made by Hornady, the folks whose name it carries, is very accurate at 100 yards. I taped a copper coin to the target at 100 yards, and when I hit it, the round actually blew the coin apart. The power was a suprise because a 17 grain bullet is about the size of a BB. Large varmints like woodchucks or raccoons deserve a quick and lethal round like a 220 Swift or 22-250. However, if you're shooting smaller varmints or game from 100 yards or less, this is a very deadly round.

Man, this gun round is sweet all my friends with .22 are going to this 17 hmr ammo it is dead on. I pick off ground hogs at distances the others are just lobing rounds at. 100-100+ yards

Great Bulk 17HMR Ammo! I have read many "experts" claim this round is effective only on small game (prairie dog size) and would not be a good coyote killer. I have proven otherwise.Most recently,(tonite at 5:20 pm) I called in 2 coyotes and flattened one with ONE round to the chest,broadside.I stepped off the distance at 180 steps!! I was suprised and pleased.He crawled 10 yards(his back end was paralyzed) and died.I suspect the polymer tip exploded into his lungs and spine as he had little struggle.It was an awsome hunt.My faith in this little caliber is stronger than ever.

Excellant 17 HMR round for varmint hunting,very accurate out to three hundred yard's on red squirell with 6x18 bsa scope.
