I have tried many makes and models of 40sw. By far this is the easiest to control. The only down side i have with my pistol is the grip but that will be changed soon. If you have not fired the p226 got to tty it be safe all thanks.

Incredible shooter. Easily shoots one hole groups at 21 feet, 0 malfunctions with Winchester ammo. Trigger pull seems to be a little lighter than a standard 226. Some shooters may prefer the standard grips that come with the gun as the wood grips make the gun a bit thick. The sights are excellent, especially the green fiber optic front sight which is also a night sight. If looks are important, the gun is really great looking. It's a perfect package for just about any purpose. I carry it off duty in a Bianchi belt side holster with a minimal retention strap.
226 Equinox (5/5) Jul 29, 2009 Ali Akbar Pontiac Mi US
I carry the Equinox on and off duty. The gun is
extremely accurate with a great trigger. The sights are also excellent. I recently finished a three gun class at Sigarms and used the Equinox. It worked flawlessly with both Federal and Winchester ammo. When I got home I realized the fiber optic front sight had
fallen out. I called Sig customer service and had an entire new sight in about five days.
It's a gun that I put 100% faith in. The only
change I had to make was to replace the wood
grips with the plastic ones due to the width of the wood grips. I recommend this gun highly along with my 226 in 9mm. I use a Blackhawk holster on duty and a Galco Matrix for concealed carry.
