CorBon 9mm DPX (5/5) | Jun 25, 2007 | Charles W. Smith | Hinesville GA US |
Outstanding expansion. Great self defense 9mm ammo. I'm switching to CorBon for all my pistols.

Terry (5/5) | Oct 22, 2008 | Terry M. | Beech Bluff TN US |
After spending Five years in the U.S. Army I learned that shooting someone and stopping them is a different story. I had couple boxes of these sent to me in Iraq and it made a world of difference. As Infantry I am one of the few unfortunate people who get to put a bullet to the test in a real world situation. These matched with my custom CZ75 SP-01 make for the perfect close quarter weapon. Not one round has ever been fired back my way after someone took a hit by one of these. Take it from me don't risk your life with inferior ammo, it's just not worth it.

Corbon DPX 9mm (5/5) | Feb 11, 2011 | John L. Sparks | Knoxville Te US |
This is the only defence 9mm luger ammo I use on my Glocks. The knock down power is similar to what one can get with a 45ACP. |

Being Honest (3/5) | Apr 16, 2009 | Snake Man | Rdrfld VA US |
It's my opinion that Terry W's review is slightly exagerated. Bulk 9MM luger Hollow point ammo can't be used by the US military, in any branch. A Nato Mil-spec. round (FMJ) must be used. The US. Army doesn't issue troops hollow point ammo, nor allows hollow point ammo to be used by US. troops. On another note, there's no misconseption, bigger does have more energy. Would you rather get hit with a bicycle or a car doing 30 mph.? A .50 cal. BMG round, even if it were a hollow point, would pass completely through a human body too fast to expand. It would still kill but you have to understand it left a 1/2 inch hole in the body it passed through. A .22 LR. doesn't have the energy a 9MM has, a 9MM doesn't have the energy a .44 Rem. Mag. has and so on. Stop playing with ballistic jell and check out real dead bodies shot by different cal. ammo. Example: I've seen bodies shot with .38 Spl. rounds and .357 Mag. rounds. Both rounds were hollow points and of the same weight (Everyone knows the .38 Spl. & the .357 Mag. shoot the same bullet, only the case & powder charge are bigger on the .357 Mag.). The slower .38 Special left a larger wound channel than the .357 Mag. in the body. I've seen .357 Mag. bullets just beginning to expand as they were exiting the body. Most .38 Spl. rounds expanded fully half way into the body. Whenever you load your weapon, you either use a bullet that will penetrate a car door, ect. or use a bullet built to expand and fragment upon impact. You give up one to have the other. I take nothing away from Corbon, they make good ammo regardless of cal. I've bought more than my share of Corbon over the years. I just disagree with Terry W.'s statement and the misconception note in this ammo's description. My review will most likely not get posted here, but thank you anyway, Snake Man. I agree with Being Honest (3/5) | Nov 15, 2009 | Al Something | Savannah Ga US |
Corbon has always been incredible 9mm luger ammo and the DPX has exceeded what they had but Terry never experienced shooting anyone with it in Iraq. Regular Army doesn't get to carry special ammo and most surely he didn't have a custom weapon to bang doors with. Sorry to bust your bubble there Terry but leave the Warrior stories to the real Warriors. The double and triple Tab wearers are those. I am a Security contractor working in Iraq.

Nato rounds (3/5) | Jan 9, 2010 | Jungle Jim | Mendenhall Mi US |
Sorry to bust your bubble Al, Corbon did make it to Iraq. Into the hands of soldiers, I was a contractor myself. Nato rounds will get you dead fast. A couple of bulk 5.56 ammo boxes made the trip also. I wish Obama would turn our boys lose, if they want bad, we will show them bad!!!!!!!!!!! |
