I first found this bulk 30-06 Springfield ammo in the Armory's retail location on Indian River Road, Virginia Beach, and it proved to be a gem of a find. Now, I'll buy all of this ammo I can get my hands on! The heavier-than-milsurp 180gr bullet makes for a longer range, harder hitting round which leverages the higher power of the 30-06 over other non-magnum rounds such as its cousin, the .308. I use this S&B round in a bolt action rifle and in an M1 Garand with a modified gas block to allow safe cycling with the heavier 180gr bullet. In both rifles this round is consistant and outstandingly accurate. I have fired over five hundred rounds of this bulk 30-06 ammo in each rifle so far, and have had no mis-fires at all, and too few flyers to blame on the ammo. One thing to be aware of... the bullet has soft steel in its core, so it cannot be used in some indoor ranges. |
