This weapon has to be one of the best quality built .45's available at any costs. There should be no question in your mind will this weapon do the job and be your best friend.

This should be the poster handgun on all billboards!
Absolutely The BEST (5/5) Feb 3, 2007 Randy Tucker Alvin TE US
The quality, function, accuracy, dependability, comfort and , not forgetting, the good looks of Kimber's Ultra CDP II far surpasses any concealed carry handgun I've ever possessed.
Never have I had such reliability and confidence with a compact or sub-compact .45 caliber defensive weapon as I have with Kimber's "Little 1911".
This one's gonna' be by my side for a long time.
Thanks, Kimber

after test driving a kimber ultra carry i was surprised at how easy shooting controllable this little, light 45 is .my test drive turned into a extended shooting session due to these characteristics and my first impressions ;love of this little 45 it is just plain fun to shoot ,so much fun and easyhandling for me a one handed shooter that i decided on the spot that i had to have my own i am now the very happy and proud owner of an american 45. my own ultra carry11 .i did need a different takedown tool than the one provided by kimber to ease fieldstripping for cleaning. i found an excellent option in ndz performances long tool .i would highly recomend the ultra carry11 to anyone in need of a reliable, lightweight, small 45 for any reason it is a great value for the price do the research all 45s in this class are comprabable in price but the kimber rises above the others in value test shoot one if you can you'll find yourself siling in agreement!

I am not a gambling man. This is the weapon I trust my life to. After 4 years of constant carry, I am convinced this is the ultimate concealed carry .45. While not pristine, it has held it's finish well. It doesn't wear out your carry gear or your body and never, ever fails to function.

Finally got my Ultra Carry (5/5) Sep 5, 2008 Jerry Genovese Daytona Beach Fl US
I have been waiting to get an Ultra Carry CDPII
for three years, and oh my God am I happy. I
have never held a pistol that just feels so perfect in my hand in my whole life.Balanced,
conceals easily, packs all the punch you could want, and absolutely beautiful to look at. I find myself picking it up every so often just to hold it. I love it. And aside from all that, knowing it is one of the finest pices of craftmenship on the market, just makes it all the better. It just don't get any better than this in the 45 class.
Thank you Kimber, it's awesome!
A Very Big Surprise (5/5) Nov 16, 2006 Jerry Brummer Surprise Ar US
I am extremely pleased with the performance and quality of this pistol. I had expected a much greater recoil than what resulted. First time out qualifying needed no sight adjustments. this pistol shoots better than I am capable of. Expensive? I guess so, but what is your life worth? I have complete confidence in this gun.

I'm a 1911 guy since I was 18 years old. I'm now 79 years old and my first 1911 was a surplus gov. model that I bought for $ 18.00. My first 'good' 45 was a Colt Gold cup natl. match that I paid $ 110.00 new, and have fired probably 600,000 rounds. I have replaced springs, BBl. bushings, new match BBL, and had the gun refinished in black chrome ( ? ) I estimate the amount of rounds fired by the shooting sessions per week, Two trips to Gunsight, Chapman acad., NRA training,& as an instructor.. I own five 1911's of one type or another that includes the Kimber. This pistol has the best " out of the box " trigger, fit, and performance of all that I own except the gold cup. The only time that I had problems with the ultra CDP 11 is when I was using it at ' Front sight acad. when the extractor lost tension. This was quickly remedied when I re-formed the extractor.Accuracy is unbelievable for such a short firearm & I really like the recoil properties of the pistol. I have a pretty accurate count of rounds fired since I load my own ammo. In the three years that I've owned this beauty, I have fired about 6,000 rounds. I'm responsible for four of my shooting colleagues purchasing Kimber ultra CDP 11
on it's performance and me letting them shoot my 'babby'. Each one of them are completely satisfied with their gun and thank me for letting them try it.
kimber ultra CDP II (4/5) Nov 22, 2008 Chub Townsend Manassas VA US
This has been an amazingly accurate pistol. My only issue was it had to go back to the factory twice to replace ejector. Otherwise this would be a five star pistol.
Very accurate and concealable. I don't like MIM parts, but the pistol feeds everything and even with a broken ejector, it still extracted. I bought it from Virginia Arms in Manassas, VA and they are amazing to deal with. I would buy from them again also.
Excellent Conceal Carry (5/5) Jan 8, 2008 Bill K Wayne WI US
I was looking for a lite weight carry weapon that had stopping power. I was carrying a S&W model 19 2 1/2". The .357 mag had the stopping power, however, it weighed 36 oz.

I have always liked the .45 ACP. I have carried a 4506 S&W for 15 my 25 years as a officer. It is heavy, 42 oz., but it is reliable and extremely accurate.

I've tried different utra .45's, unfortunately, all were somewhat disappointing. That is until one of my fellow officers had me shoot his Kimber Ultra CDP. This little powerhouse is everything that all the reveiws say it is. Light weight, concealable, and extremely accurate.

I have put over 1,000 rds. through my ultra and it has performed with out any problem. This little Kimber is as accurate and reliable as my big Smith, I bet my life on both.
