If you had to choose between the H&K Mark 23 .45 Auto or the Kimber Custom TLE II .45, which one would you select? Good points? Bad points?

Kimber. I'm not really 1911 guy but given your choice I would take the Kimber. The mk23 is an answer to a question not asked. Too big for a .45, too expensive and in the best of German tradition, grossly over engineered. The quality of both guns are top notch and both are way more accurate than 99% of us can hold them.
The kimber can realisticly be carried and best of all you can with a little experience totally dismanlte and reassemble it at home. This is a plus when cleaning the weapon.

It really depends on what you want to do with it.

Are you planning on carrying it or are you just looking for a fun gun?
