I have a confession to make. I use to be the biggest fan of SIGs, and I still own a few, great weapons. I use to turn my nose up at plastic pistols, but not anymore.
When I got home from my last deployment I picked up a S&W M&P 45 compact. My first impressions of the pistol were excellent, great fit and finish, outstanding ergonomic design and accurate.
I have not had the chance to shoot it too much, only have about 500 rounds through it, but never a hiccup so far. Accurate for a compact weapon and shoots like a dream. Recoil is comfortable and easily handled. And the price point on this weapon can't be beat. I really see this weapon system giving Glock a run for the money in the coming years with LE contracts and civilian use.
My next pistol will be a M&P9L. Can't wait to get back to VA and pick it up. If you have not shot it or handled one of these I recommend you head to The Armory and check it out for yourself and you will be believer as I am.
