1911 bug.... have it bad?

Post by Splitter » Mon Apr 17, 2006 8:42 pm

I have a Sig GSR, and love it so danged much. I'm thinking about trading my Sig P239 .40SW for one.

Anyone on this board have any interest?

The P239 is like new, about 500 rounds in the pipe, rubber and wood grips, 3 magazines, and a few leather holsters (Don Hume & Backwoods Leather).

I'd be looking for a compact size, 3.5" barrel... something like a Colt Defender.

Well... I did end up trading my P239 for a Kimber Pro Carry II... man what a tack driver. Awesome gun.

I just picked up due to inheritance, a Norinco 1911A1.. in the shop getting refinished. Can't wait to pick it up.

I have a Sig GSR Railed ST in great shape... love to shoot it, but I'd rather have a commander sized 1911.

It's up for trade, 4 mags, 1 backwoods holster, 2 sets of grips.

Any interest?

Looking for a Kimber or Para, but would also be interested in a Colt Defender 90 Series....

The norinco 1911a1 is first 45acp to function properly for me without a stove pipe or jam. My new colts and a new springer would jam and stovepipe right out of the box. It figures that the chinese would make it right. The norinco is one of the best platforms to do a build too the frame is one of the best ones out there.

The Norinco is great, awesome shooter, too big to carry, but fun to shoot.

My new carry gun is a CZ82 in 9mm mak its the military version of the Cz line and it seems to me its the samey, same as the CZ83's. Its 12rds in the mag and one in the pipe and fits great with an in the pants holster that also fits an extra 12rd mag too.

I'm tired of carrying boat anchors, I started off with a ruger redhawk in 44mag for many years on and off with a ruger 357 mag. Then i tried a 45acp/1911 for a while and then a CZ85 in 9mm. Now the CZ82 in 9mm mak is the perfect size carry gun and its so affordable too.($200) And double action trigger too on the first shot.
