What is your pistol wish list for 2006

Post by scottc » Sun Jan 22, 2006 10:19 pm

Ok, been going over this in my mind and I have to write it down otherwise it will continue to grow and morph with no end in sight.

So for 2006 this is what I want to add to my collection:
Springfield XD 4" 45ACP
Kimber Pro Carry TLE/RL
454 Casull Either a Ruger or a S&W or a Taurus, not sure yet
Rock Island 1911 - cheap base model for custom work
SIG Sauer P229R DAK .357 SIG so I don't have to keep stealing Kat's

For my Rifle picks you will have to check the rifle thread.

Scott

Hmmm.. there are sooooo many to choose from....

I'd like a Springfield or Kimber 1911 frame 45ACP (I know you think I won't like it.. but I want one sooooo bad! )

I'd also like another Sig.. maybe the P228 since it is out of production

you could say EVERYTHING for Splitter. He changes his mind so frequently he will probably own everything by the end of the year and still have nothing in the end. He is ADHD when it comes to gun purchases.

You WILL NOT BELIEVE the 226 I picked up today!!!

It was made pre-1991 and has West German markings... and Bob says it's 98%. Sweet gun... OMGosh is it sweet. It also came with the Lasermax and two factory 15rd mags and the original velvet padded box.

But seriously... my next will be a P245... loved the P220ST, just too big to carry.

If I come across a used one...

If you like the P220

Post by scottc » Mon Jan 23, 2006 10:51 pm

But yes it is too heavyfor CCW. There is word that SIG has a new pistol in the works. As of now it is suppose to be called the P240. It is basically a Commander size P220. The pictures I ahve seen show a 245 Slide on a P220 frame. I like I like!

Unless you are 6'7" and wiegh 275lbs, I can't understand why you would want to carry such a HUGE gun.

I'm no light weight "275lbs"?? You better add 110lbs to that. The bigger the gun the better. Its going to have to have that extra counter weight under the full length of the barrel like the colt python has to hold down the recoil of the 500S&W MAG. yet it still has to have balance too. I think the diameter of the weight has to be larger as it goes towards the muzzle just a little would make the gun more controllable without having the ugly muzzle look. If Ruger builds it i will buy it.

One of my co-workers has a Ruger Super Blackhawk .44Mag, 8.5" barrel, large scope, and many accessories... I think he is asking about $450.

I was thinking of BigBill when he told me about his gun.

Sheesh.. that thing is large and in charge... I'd never carry anything so freaking big.. to protect myself with!

..okay get your mind out of the gutter.
