My latest build

Post by marcw » Fri Nov 04, 2005 8:18 am

I thought I'd share my latest build with you all. This one has a mid-length gas system and is smooth as silk!

Image

Details:
- 1:7 twist, 4150, chrome-lined, midlength barrel from Talon Arms.
- LaRue 9.0 free float rail
- CMT upper receiver
- CMT bolt carrier group
- LaRue EoTech Riser
- EoTech 552
- LaRue BUIS
- VLTOR buttstock
- PWA lower receiver
- CMT lower parts kit
- Magpul trigger guard
- Tango Down grip, vertical forward grip and rail panels

I have very high hopes for this build because I think it combines all the qualities of the 16" carbine plus the smooth cycling and added reliability of the mid-length gas system. I'm planning on using this as my primary weapon for training classes once I shake it out a bit 8)

Hey, before Bill beats me to it... But it is not an AK!

Just kidding, that is a nice piece of hardware and I am a big AR fan. Might have to do another one in the very near future. I am thinking of doing a varmit rifle with a 24" bbl.
