Hey guys, what would it take for me to get some new sights put on my Sig P229 .357?

I am interested in getting a set of bigdot tritium sights, but not sure how much it would cost to install.

Thanks!!

Sorry it took me so long to get back with you. Yes I can change out your sights. The cost of lobour is $35.00, the sights will vary depending upon brand. Our standard sights are Meprolight and they cost $75.95. Trijicons can also be ordered but they cost significantly more and offer no material gain. If you have in mind any particular sights let me know and I will get you a price.

Thanks for getting back to me. I'm looking at these Big Dot.

They were recommended by a detective friend of mine. 8)

Come to Sacramento, CA. Buy the sights from the shop where I help out. I'll install them for free.

Meprilight makes night sights for your pistol. The cost of product is about $79.99 and installation will be about $60.00 . The high installation cost has to do with the fact that the new front sight fits over the old one two holes are drilled transversley throgh the old sight and the whole is pinned together. Machine time.

The Meprolight sights we use are built like Trijicons, only the front sight legs are more robust, and install in the SIG 229 slide's front sight dovetail. A standard SIG sight pusher is used.

Cost is $95.00.

Of course I'm in CA and you're in VA.

Go with the Meprolight's they are brighter than Trijicon and offer a larger sight picture.

That Jay Kordich....the Juiceman. If you ever saw "In Living Color", Jim Carey used to do a spoof on him where he would eat dirt and then jump out of a window.
