There are hundreds of men all around Tidewater that purchased whatever she was selling.... I think we should form a support group.

No I spend enough money there already, though that could make it more worthwhile than it already is... Hmmm, yea see if you can get her to work there.

I heard that they have much improved their products so I ordered a couple of boxes (.40 S&W) from you guys. However, my local range would not allow me to shoot because they said Wolf is not safe at all. They proceeded to show me a dozen pictures of people who got their faces injuried from this type of steel core ammos. Any of you out there really had this happened to you? I have only shot a couple of hundred rounds and don't have much experience on them. Would appreciate your comments.

I use Wolf ammo in my 1911 .45 and it's always performed flawlessly. In my AR, however, it leaves a horrible buildup in the chamber that's caused many a stuck case

Interesting. My Makarov doesn't seem to like it much. I had some misfeeds in my last outing using Wolf....

Wolf's Ammo

Post by Long-Shots-in-10-ring » Mon Jul 24, 2006 8:55 am

I have used it for 2 years now - don't want to think how many rds flew.
No jams or misfires - BUT it is dirty - VERY much so.
The FMJs shoot very well, but the HPs don't fly good - especially in the Varminter barrel.
Overall - cheap plinking ammo but nothing like rolling your own!

Still like Aguila in .45ACP. Since ditching my Mak, it's the only plinking ammo I use. Not too dirty, not expensive, no FTFs, no FTEs.

I've had great luck with Georgia arms ammo too.
I've used up about 2k rounds of Wolf this past year in my AKM and SKS's. Only one problem. One primer came off after firing and landed on the ejector rail and kept the bolt from going home while feeding the next round. Just took a second to clear. In those Guns the Wolf ammo has been great!
I've used about 500 rounds of Wolf .45 ammo too. My XD45 loves it just fine. It eats anything. But shooting it in my Taurus PT745 it seems to ignite poorly and burn a dirty orange. The slide seems to come back in slow motion and sometimes oranges gasses come out the ejection port! Rounds of go low from POA too. Has some mis fires too and needs a second pull of the trigger to function. Switch to S&B or Remmington and it fires and functions perfectly! So I'll use up my Wolf .45 as practice ammo in the XD. I won't buy more of it since other ammo that works better doesn't cost much more.
