i recently purchased an 1895 naggant revolver, so far ive shot .32s&w long and .32h&r magnums from it i was wondering if anyone has used the propper ammo for this weapon and if so how it performs, ive noticed the .32s&w is kinda lackluster in performance in fact it could bearly knock over a bowling pin

Well, can't say that I have shot the Nagant revolver but we do have the Nagant ammo - both Fiocchi and Russian brand (in the bright yellow box). Strange looking round - the bullet does not stick out of the casing. We've sold quite a bit of that ammo. Hopefully someone who bought it can give you an idea of how it shoots. Marie

7.62 Nagant was never a very powerful round, as was the case with most turn-of-the-century small caliber military revolvers.

i figured it wasnt, but a 22lr seems more powerful

i picked up some nagant ammo, its a little bit more powerful than the 32s&w but not quite as strong as the .32h&r, i belive the muzzle energy is around 140ft-lbs

Don't forget its a 1895 design revolver with a unique cylinder set up. When fired the cylinder closes the gap to the barrel flush. Remember your able to own, to touch and shoot a piece of history life is good. While its not a modern round its still a fun round to shoot anyway. Its something unique and different. I love guns with history.

I think that hotshot offers the cheapest 7,62 nagant ammo.

There is no better time to get your C&RFFL03 collectors license and start collecting and shooting the surplus military stuff. Your missing out on a lot of fun at an affordable price too. You would be surprised at what some of these old war horses can do on paper.
