Soldiers in Alaska forbidden to CCW

This is scary: http://www.usarak.army.mil/main "U.S. ARMY ALASKA — Despite an Alaska law allowing gun owners to carry con...

Break it in...

Stupid question time; If you do not have a chromed line barrel is there a certain break-in peroid that you have to do when you first shoot the rifle? I reference the suggested Kel-Tec SU16 break-in, which is to shoot the rifle (a few rounds) and clean the barrel, then shoot it some more repeating t...

Oly M4

Scott, the Olympic Arms M4's that I looked at last night, did they have a chromed lined barrel or not? Nope, Oly does not use Chromed Lined barrels. Which is fine you only need that is you are shooting full auto. Also I will be getting some more M4A3s in a couple of weeks. They will be shipping in ...

Young Democrat

A young man was about to finish his first year of college. Like so many others his age he considered himself to be a very liberal Democrat and was for distribution of all wealth. He felt deeply ashamed that his father was a rather staunch Republican which he expressed openly. One day he was challeng...

The Short Answer

There is a very and I mean very slight difference in the throat and neck of the brass. But the biggest difference is the thickness in the brass. The 5.56 brass is a tad thicker thus causing higher pressures in the chamber. The rule of thumb if your rifle is marked 5.56 you can shoot either round sin...

You ask questions that...

why does an M4 have a step in the barrel but a full size rifle does not? When the messiah comes he will tell us all we need to know. The reason is the placement on the frame of the M203 grenade launcher. I just know the full size 20" barrel is good to go, but in order to sling one on the 16" barrel...

What, no M203???

Okay, looks like at least three on consignment sold so you've got about $700 to spend so far. Ok, so what does that get me in the flat-top M4 market? I need a base rifle price so I know how much or less I have to spend or add to it. I like the Olympic Arms base grade flat top's preferably with the ...
