Porting does help to keep the muzzle down, but you have to be careful which ammo you choose to shoot. At night, the flash coming from the porting can be blinding.

That was always the bane of the M44 and M38. They are a little rifle for the big round they are shooting. The other oddity about a lot of M44's is that many seem to shoot better with bayonets extended. Apparently, it has something to do with the way they were sighted in.

Personally, I've always looked as seasonal stocks (like picking up FEDEX or UPS during the late-summer and selling off after the earnings post from the holiday peak). Depressed economies seem to do fairly well for alcohol, tobacco and gambling stocks as well. Lately though, transferrable machine gun...

But if they don't legalize them now, all the Congressmen who have "temporary" workers on their housekeeping staff will now have the guise on Congressional protection when they retire. I'm just hoping that DHS will find it in their heart to let my wife into the country before I deploy. We've only bee...

Congrats and it looks like not a moment too soon. Please let us know how well he cooks up. I wish I could have made it out this season, especially after taking the hiatus is Japan for the last couple years, but it looks like it'll have to wait until I make it back from the sandbox. I might be able t...

Only thing I've seen lately is some 6.5 Carcano that hasn't been going off after pretty heavy primer hits. The cordite (that's right!) burns a pretty orange when you dump it out of the case though.

The Armory carries it too with the Prvi Partisan/Wolf Gold Line ammo. Drop us an e-mail and we'll check to see how much we have left on the floor. We don't get the stuff all the time, but since a couple of us shoot it, we try to keep some on hand.

WELCOME TO THE ARMORY

This is a brand new idea we're juggling here, so hopefully it works. If it doesn't, then we kill it. The concept is pretty simple--if we're striving to be your favorite, friendly, full-service, local gunshop on the internet, then we have to act like it.
