Wayne The Shrink posted some info on cast bullet reloading on the 7.5 Swiss thread: "You'll find lots of experience with the rifles and loading @ surplusrifle.com. If you are interested in shooting cast there's no better place than gunloads.com/cast boolits. Both of these sites have considerable inf...

That's a good question. Unfortunately, our resident gunsmith has moved on to a better job offer. Most of my gunsmithing is done by studying the parts and figuring out what pins hold what and drifting out pins, screws, etc. Be careful of hidden springs.

I thought you spent some time in Japan...you haven't been to Japan until you've been in a quake.

Putting a forward grip on a PLR-16 without an approved ATF tax stamp for making a short-barreled rifle is a felony.

I have an older Model 625 with a 5" barrel. I love it. Accurate and very fun to shoot. I agree that it tends to be a bit on the heavy side, and I don't enjoy mooning or de-mooning ammo, but the fast reload benefit is certainly worth it.

This is from Springfield Armory's debut of the Firecat at SHOT Show 1992: The biggest news from Springfield was the introduction of the "R" series pistols. These four guns -- the Panther, the Firecat, the Bobcat and the Lynx -- are based on the Astra automatic pistols, but with a few custom modifica...

It depends on what's important to you. Porting will help greatly to reduce muzzle rise, but the downside is that you need to be careful what ammo you feed it as it will make a huge difference in flash from the ports (blinding in the field of view of your sight plane at night).

Re: glock need lighter trigger pull?

i got a 5.5 lbs pull now do they make a lighter spring? like a 2 or 3 ? There are aftermarket Glock connectors out there to take them down to 3.5-lbs. The 3.5-lb connector (75 degrees instead of 90 degrees in the 5-lb connector) is stock in the competition Glocks (17L, 24, 34 and 35). The connector...

Jim can probably work on it. Jim is pretty impressive with revolvers and shotguns.

We have an SLR-106F in stock, but not an FR. We will probably sell this one first before we get in another. You're more than welcome to come down and special order something.

Unfortunately, if you've already checked Jack First and Numrich, you've exhausted most of what's out there. The only other avenues I've taken for parts is like what you're doing now--asking on forums and gunboards or checking auctions on gunbroker.com, auctionarms.com, ebay (yuck!) or gunsamerica.co...
