Ammo Prices

The ammo prices have climbed everytime i look at them. I wonder now that the prices on scrap metal have fallen will the ammo prices fall back a little too? I wonder if the'll ever return to affordable prices again. Its a real stalemate between going shooting and buying more ammo. I have to take out ...

Ruger Super Sized Redhawk in 500S&W

I been hoping to see RUGER manufacture 500S&W MAG but nothing yet. I wish they would offer it with a 12" or 15" barrel. This would be an awesome hand cannon for sure. I hope they don't snooze for too long. I also been hoping to see the redhawk again offered in 41 mag and 357mg so the baby boomer cro...

Starting to reload??? Or thinking about it?

If your not reloading yet its time to start. Its time to shop smart for reloading equipment too. I have a RCBS rockchucker press since the 70's and i stopped reloading when we had a flood of surplus and new imported ammo. Now that things have gone sky high on new ammo and the surplus has dried up it...

Don't forget its a 1895 design revolver with a unique cylinder set up. When fired the cylinder closes the gap to the barrel flush. Remember your able to own, to touch and shoot a piece of history life is good. While its not a modern round its still a fun round to shoot anyway. Its something unique a...

We've come full circle now in my lifetime

I can remember when the military surplus ammo was expensive and much harder to find in the mid to late 70's. The GOOD; Then around the mid 80's the flood gates opened up for importing the military surplus ammo in most calibers. Around the mid 90's we started seeing a new lower priced ammo being impo...

ammo supply drying up???

It seems the ammo is selling a a very fast rate and in most popualr calibers its drying up as we speak. Its getting harder to find certain calibers now. Is the affordable new ammo still being imported? :?: I just read somewhere that we won't be seeing anymore south african 308 ball ammo. Since afric...

I guess we don't have too many saiga owners here. I think the saiga's are a hot ticket. Were buying a brand new russian izhmash ak47 in a sporter wrapper. The saiga is manufactured in the same building as the ak47 by the same people. I think its the hottest thing to hit our shores ever since the ver...

But on the other hand.....Well i went browsing today at my local gun shops and seen the norinco sks's going for $499. Since some places ...

I'm a little late here in posting but it may help others out. I recently picked up a new Auto-Ordnance Army WW2 copy 1911a1 in 45acp. If your looking for a quality shooter at an affordable price this is it. We shot it at the range and ran over 250rds of wolf ammo thu it without one stove pipe or jam...
