Summer = j-frame wheelgun. It's light and fits in a cargo pocket with a holster. The lighter gun is easier for me to carry wearing less clothing.
Winter = semi-auto. More rounds makes me happy.

+1 to what Shmuck said. Plenty of kits at Wal Mart or your local gun store with common cleaning jags that'll work for you.
