Springfield XD-45 Comments

I've had my Xd-45 long enough to fire 700+ rounds through it. With the help from some extremely talented shooters at my local range, (Freedom Armory in Glen Rock, Pa.), I have been able to work out most of my shooting issues - grip, sighting, etc. What's left is the handgun itself. I have found the ...

I got my XD45!

I finally got my Springfield XD45. It is great on the range. I hadn't shot for several years - since I left the military - and I kept all of my rounds within a 4 inch circle at 25 feet; most of them within a 3 inch circle. I used a new target after each clip of 13 so I could watch my pattern. It sta...

380

My Uncle was a collector. He had quite a collection. One of the pistols that he would let me shoot when I was a kid was his 380. We would go out to the field next to the barn and he would let me shoot as much as I wanted. I have always thought about getting one for myself, but missed every opportuni...

XD45

I just laid away an XD45 ACP. I'll pick it up in a week. I can't wait to take her to the range.

Will porting my Springfield XD45 ACP be benefitial, or a waste of time and money? What other modifications should I consider?

Wish List

My wish list only has one item:

Springfield XD45ACP.

Someone please tell Santa that I want it for Christmas. If he doesn't bring it, I'll have to get it myself.

I looked at a Sig - I kinda like the feel of the Springfield Armory, though. Actually, I looked at the 40, but I really want the 45. One more question, does porting help and is it worth the $$$ and effort?

New Member - Questions on Gun Purchase

I am new to the forum and have a few questions. I am considering the purchase of a Springfield Armory XD40, or an XD45 ACP. I lean toward the 45, though. I am a former Air Force member and have fired many types of pistols, but I have been "out of action" for about 10 years. There is a great indoor r...
