About this caliber: Designed by Remington in 1964, the 223 Remington is one of the most common rifle calibers used by Americans today. Available in bullet weights ranging from 38gr all the way up to 90gr and heavier - the 223 Remington offers a massive range of applications due to its various difference weights and powder loads. This gives 223 Ammo a place for hunters, target shooters, law enforcement, and even military. 223 is the most popular caliber for the AR-15 platform of rifles and continues to dominate the market as the caliber of choice for it. The 5.56 NATO cartridge that our military uses along with several NATO countries, was derived from the 223 Remington.

Great Deal! Fast Shipping!01/21/2011

Like most others, I was semi-cautious about this bulk 223 remington ammo purchase because of the low sale price. It was the lowest I could find for this Ammo, btw. I thought maybe they were re-packed reloads or something. (they weren't) However, I was pleasantly appeased after shooting my first 10 rounds. I shot about 200 rds in first session out of my custom tac sniper AR and was easily punching out the bull (~1") @ 100yds. These NATO rds. are nice and hot so I'm eager to see how they will do @ up to 500yds. Also, these rnds are no dirtier in an AR than any other I've used. I avoid old super-cheap ammo as it is. Another note is that The-Armory shipped very fast. I got everything 3 days after my order. Overall, I'm very happy and have returned to buy another well as some mags.

good ammo09/14/2007
I was sceptical about this bulk 223 remington ammo at first when i ordered it, but when i took it to the range that all went away. I shot a 1/2group at 50 yds. Very consistant! Tore the bull out of a target! Many people say that this ammo iss dirty and yes it is but if you are buying 500 rounds then you are doing some serious shooting and should be cleaning your rifle everytime any way. I put 100 rounds through my M4 and it wasnt that dirty, not as much as i thought with reading everyones comments about it being dirty ammo. It's non-corrosive so thats good enough for me. Alot of people will only put high end ammo through their rifle and yeah thats greatm but the dirt is not goign to harm the rifle since its non-corrosive. Good buy, will deff buy more when it becomes available

I'll be buying this bulk 223 remington ammo for a long time. With the recent hikes in ammo prices due to legislation, it has been tough to find good ammo at decent prices. PMC has proven itself as not only good, but fantastic ammunition. Their PMC Bronze runs flawlessly in every rig I've put it through, rifle or pistol. I've run 3260 rounds of this through my Windham as well as my LWRC over the last 4 months and I couldn't be happier with the results. Not one single FTF or FTE and the groupings are very tight. Not to mention it isn't nearly as dirty as some of the more expensive ammo out there, which I won't name. I'll keep buying this stuff as long as it stays available at the great prices.

Great Practice Ammo11/25/2008

Recently Purchased 1000 rounds of bulk 223 remington PMC 55 gr. for Combat Carbine course. All rounds fired without any problems through my Rock River Entry Tactical Carbine with 1 in 9 twist barrel. Accuracy was great. Fired a 5 round group from 100 yards from a prone, non-supported position and 4 of 5 rounds struck within a one and a quarter inch group with the 5th round flyer taking the group to approximately one and three fourths inch group. Instructor was impressed with the PMC ammo accuracy...and so was I :-) Will purchase again if price is right.

Great Ammo, Great Price07/31/2013

I've used PMC bulk 223 remington ammo for years now. I have never seen it at this low of a price (at least in the recent ammo drought). This little 55 grain bullet is great for the range for use in tactical drills, training for 3-gun or just plinking out to 200 yards. I've shot the pricey stuff through the same 1:9 LMT barrel and I couldn't tell much difference in accuracy for this light of a round. My only wish is that PMC would offer this price on a 69 or 75 grain round!
