I bought myself a G21 several months ago as my first hand gun. I could not ask for anything more. I run cheap federal white box ammo through it and have never had a misfire. Pure dependability. Anytime you need it just point and shoot and it will perform flawlessly.
G-21 It is what it is - Good Self Defense (5/5) Mar 26, 2009 Michael Rowak New Britain Co US
First off - this is a great gun. Light weight and super accurate. It has claims that the grip is too large. I do not have an issue with this - and it now comes in SF, which is a slightly smaller frame for those that do. I shot both frames and love them both. Perfect gun for self defense - and 13 rounds stock. Especially if you have to discharge in the home, which is why you get a home defensive pistol in the first place - use any factory hollow points or hydra-shocks for this reason - you don't want this bullet going through your house (or other loved ones behind/aft of your target) - you want this bullet to be stopped by sheet rock and wood in case you miss under stress. Don't be turned off by the other reviews from the guy who likes his .50 AE Desert Eagle. You don't ever want to shoot the .50AE inside. Yes it's a nice gun to own, but are you going to war in Afganistan or Iraq next week? Need to shoot at any tanks recently? That gun (art-work beautiful that it is) is too heavy to carry all day, really long (6 or 10 incher), about 4 times the cost of the Glock, and got only 7 shots at best, maybe 6 if he's got the .50AE single stacked. I think a fully loaded AR-15 is lighter. Unless of course you're "The Terminator." Stick with the Glock - no pistol is as economical to buy, accurate to shoot out of the box, with high cap mags around $25.00 bucks each, and very very easy to field strip.

I love my glock 21. I added xs 24/7 night sights a efk fire dragon ported barrel and a sprinco rod and spring and it has the kick of a 9mm now. Its very reliable. I put 300-350 rounds thru it per range visit and it usually has 1 failure to feed in the 300-350 round range. I use winchester white box ammo. I highly recommend the Glock.

I'm reading the previous reviews and laughing at some of the comments. You cant compare this weapon with a desert eagle 50, or a Beretta 9mm or a Sig 40. These are not even in the same class of weapons. The Glock 45 is a duty weapon designed for rugged accurate use. Not for caliber bragging "my 50 is bigger than your 45". The desert eagle is not a duty weapon and never will be. It is only a show piece. As far as the muzzle flash from the "C" model. Pure BS... I own the 17c and the 21c and I shoot a lot at night and you can not see any extra muzzle flash at all.
I also have a 1911 that I replaced with the 21c due to reliability. With over 1000 rounds through it so far I have never had a jam. The same with my 17c that is several years old. This is the reason that many police agencies use it as well as SWAT teams.

I love the balance and flat level sight across the top of this weapon. The white outline rear site and white dot front sight make it a synch to point. It just feels right.

I used the G22 (.40) and my husband has the G21 (.45) we have other firearms like a rifle .308 and AR-15 .223 & 357 S&W 6" a Taurus 357 - 8 bullets and others... but the pressision sligt recoil easy management & the comfiability of the GLOCK is insuperable.

Great gun as usual from Glock. I do not care for the "put your fingers here" grip as they don't fit my fingers well but should for a lot of people. Spend the money for the night sights and loose the POS factory stock ones.
Avoid the "C" model as the porting will place the muzzle flash in your eyes with night shootingif you want it for personal protection.
Oh and the guy "Heath" compairing it to his .50 DE is a moron, try CC a .50 DE in anything but a trenchcoat. If you need a penis extention get a desert eagle .50, if you need a gun the glock should work just fine.

Its truly not a bad gun for the price. But has nothing on my 50 cal eagle. But would recomend for the novice.
