I bought the springfield 1911A1 Loaded about a year ago. It it my very first pistol, and I am very pleased with it. Field-stripping is quick and easy. I've only had one misfeed, due to loading Corbon 230 gr +P JHPs. I don't blame the gun, as I had only put about 10 rounds through the gun. Once the feed ramp was broken in after about 200 rounds of FMJs, the hot stuff loaded flawlessly. As i bought this pistol for concealed carry, i've had a little trouble finding a way to carry this gun sans-visual in the summer, but is easily hidden under a jacket in a hip holster or a tuckable at the rear, as long as you're not sitting for too long in the colder Ohio months. Aside from concealability, this is a fantastic firearm to own and shoot. The weight of stainless keeps it a bit top-heavy with a less-than-full magazine, but that goes away with firing. It stays pretty steady with rapid-fire as long as you keep an authoritive grip. Draining 8 rounds in about 3 seconds into an 8-inch group from 10 yards isn't difficult. I am very pleased with this pistol and would recommend it to any handgun enthusiast.
