This bulk .17 HMR ammo, made by Hornady, the folks whose name it carries, is very accurate at 100 yards. I taped a copper coin to the target at 100 yards, and when I hit it, the round actually blew the coin apart. The power was a suprise because a 17 grain bullet is about the size of a BB. Large varmints like woodchucks or raccoons deserve a quick and lethal round like a 220 Swift or 22-250. However, if you're shooting smaller varmints or game from 100 yards or less, this is a very deadly round. |
