Many of my students have never fired a handgun. When they reach the point of shooting a semi-auto, I will let them shoot my Kimbers, especially the Ultra CDP II. I know many have gone straight away and purchased Kimbers.

I've owned more than 40 1911 model/style ACP's, from many different manufacturers. In the handgun courses that I teach (NRA Basic Pistol, Concealed Carry, Advanced MSOC military and SWAT/SORT) I have come to believe that this particular semi-auto is the very best of the best. The sights are terrific, the trigger is crisp and means business, and the action as near pefect as possible. As far as accuracy, whenever I can keep five shots within 1.5 inches at 25 yards, I'm satisifed. With this handgun, 1 inch or less is the norm. Many of my students have never fired a handgun.
